GENERAL UPDATE

In total, Delta Girl has been the recipient of one award, nominated for several awards, and screened at 10 film festivals.

Indigo Valley, the feature film also directed by Jaclyn Bethany, is set to premiere soon.

I have been busy at work on a new and exciting opportunity for myself and any interested writers or actors. To get ahead of the official announcement, follow @monologueminute on Instagram.

 

DELTA GIRL ANNOUNCEMENT

The Delta Girl has pulled in its first award - the jury prize at the Afterglow Film Festival in Mississippi. Following this achievement, the film will be heading to Gdansk, Poland for Euroshorts 2018. More updates will come as I get them.

 

HOLLYSHORTS FILM FESTIVAL

I'm thrilled to announce that The Delta Girl will premiere in competition at the HollyShorts film festival this August! HollyShorts is an Oscar Qualifying film festival, meaning that if Delta Girl wins an award it will have qualified for an Academy Award. Congrats to the wonderful people who put this project together, and I'm thrilled to be working with them again in August on Indigo Valley!

NEW REEL

INDIGO VALLEY

It's official! I'll be playing Rhys in Jaclyn Bethany's feature film, Indigo Valley. It's based on the short film by the same name that has been making the rounds in festivals all over the globe.

THE LONG-AWAITED P.I.

As of today I have officially finished the re-imagining of P.I., which I originally wrote in 2015, partially filmed in 2016, and have been rewriting ever since. I intend on filming what we've finished with my team over the coming months, and hopefully give you some good news about its progress!

SUMMER FEATURE FILM

After working with the fantastic people in Delta Girl, I have been asked to play a role in the director's next feature film, which I will announce as soon as I am able. The feature should begin filming in August, and I greatly look forward to working on it!

I have officially wrapped on Delta Girl! It was a blast working with such amazing and passionate people. I look forward to the premiere and will post updates when they come! 

 

BATTLECREEK ON DVD AND BLU RAY

The day is almost here! Battlecreek is now available to preorder on Amazon and iTunes, and is expected to be released on 2/6 (DVD/Blu-Ray) and 2/8 (iTunes). It's been an honor to work with these amazing people and I'm so thrilled to finally bring it to the public. Available at any Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Family Video, and RedBox! Stay tuned for streaming announcements!

KLEXOS UP ONLINE

   "Klexos", directed by Danny Koerber, starring David Westberg, Jack Ransford and myself as the same character, has been released online! I have put the video up on my Videos Tab which you can find here. Enjoy!

 

BATTLECREEK OFFICIAL RELEASE

   Exciting news! Red River Studios' flagship film, Battlecreek, starring Bill Skarsgard of "IT", has a red-carpet premiere on November 2nd. November 3rd will begin the official nationwide release. It's been an absolute pleasure to have worked with all these incredible and incredibly talented folks. I greatly look forward to attending the red carpet and Q&A back in Texas on the nationwide release. More details to come!

48 HOUR FILM FESTIVAL (UPDATED)

   Earlier today I was given an invite to participate in a project for the 48 Hour Film Project! Details are in the paragraph below. You can check out the 48 Hour Film Project's website here.

   Our project, entitled What Else Remains, is to premiere on August 17th at 9:30pm at Regal Cinemas LA Live in Hollywood. Tickets are $15, and you can find them here! I hope to see you there!

"CHILDREN OF CAMELOT" SHENYC

   I have just found out about the Children of Camelot being welcomed at SheNYC, a production company that helps women writers and composers at all states of their career. Congratulations to Nakisa Aschtiani and the rest of the cast! You can find the interview here!

 

VOICEOVER CLASSES

   I have begun classes at Kalmeonson & Kalmenson, a voiceover studio and classroom in Burbank under the tutelage of Kathy Grable. I hope to begin applying for Voiceover agents as soon as the class ends at the close of August.

MINDFIELD FILM FESTIVAL

   It has come to my attention that Magic Radio has also won the Best Comedy Award (Platinum) for Best short Film at the February Mindfield Film Festival! The link to the page is here!

LOS ANGELES FILM AWARDS

   I have just learned that Magic Radio won the award for Best Comedy at the January 2017 Los Angeles film Awards. Congratulations to the cast and crew! You can find the page here.

P.I. UPDATE
    You might notice that July ended without PI. being released.
Unfortunately, due to not all filming and rewriting being finished, the series will be postponed indefinitely.

Please bear with us so that we may produce the best product possible.
Be on the lookout as we rewrite and replan around our existing material.

MAGIC RADIO
    Today I was cast in a short film entitled "Magic Radio" with director Meng Yu. I play the role of Dean, the high school bully. The beard will have to go!
I look forward to working with her and the rest of the cast and crew on August 20th!

UPDATES
    It turns out that Klexos has been awarded first place at LACC for its outstanding job! They intend to apply for short film festivals. More updates to come!

KLEXOS PREMIERE
    Today Klexos premiered at LACC, where it was very well received. The film was excellently done and I'm very happy to have worked with such an incredible cast and crew. Klexos is up on IMDb here!

P.I. LOCATION WRAP
    We have wrapped filming at our Indiana location!
I wanted to take a moment to thank all those involved in this incredible process. First of all, my actors: Grace Theobald, Nate DeCook, Ben Phillips, Brogan Lozano, Samie Johnson, Henry Ragan, Dylan Crow, Andy Shook, Deyonte Jenkins, Glyne Pease, Devin Fluker, Hannah Connally, Taylor Jones, Steffan Clark, and Isaac Baker. My crew deserves a lot of recognition as well: Robbie Love, Kendall Reasons, Hannah Cava, Bryan Hurt, Emily Westing, Hilary Rubio, Sarah Hall, Bianca Frasier, Cassidy Parkison, Grace Guarniere, and Tucker Steinlage. If I've forgotten you, please remind me and I'll put your name up here.
We ran into quite a few bumps- that's filmmaking- but we've got a great project in our hands.

P.I. ANNOUNCEMENT
    I'm happy to finally announce a passion project that myself and several other friends have been working on: P.I., a new web series following the disappearance of two college students in a small town. 
I depart today for our location shoot in Indiana, which should take a little over a week.
Special thanks to Raleigh Wade, the co-author, and Kendall Reasons, my Stage Manager.

KLEXOS
    I have been cast in another short film to be shot at the beginning of April entitled Klexos.
The director is Daniel Koerber and the producer is Adam Brewer.

​

ENEMY
    I have been cast as the subject character in a short film!
Filming was outside the Joshua Tree National Forest, and took place over the course of a day. It was an incredible experience, and I look forward to the release date, which I will post here when I receive it. It was written and directed by Ian Alloway; Jacob Abrams as DP, and co-starred Bertrand-Xavier Corbi. I will also post the IMdB page when it's put up.

SHIFTING SANDS
    I was asked over the weekend to record a voiceover role for the documentary "Shifting Sands". I'll post more information when it's released.

ATLANTIS
    A casting announcement- I have been cast as Aedon, the main character of the book "Atlantis, Bearer of Fruit" by David Speight. We will be recording an audio-screenplay that should be released by June!

CHILDREN OF CAMELOT
    I have been cast in a production of a play called Children of Camelot! 
An alternate reality play where Lee Harvey Oswald survives Jack Ruby's assassination attempt and gets to stand on trial for the crime that he may (or may not have?) committed.
The Performances will be Thursdays through Sundays until December 20th at the Moth Theatre in West Hollywood! Tickets are $10 on Goldstar and BrownPaperTickets!


VAMPIRE MASQUERADE
    I have been cast in a production of a play called Vampire Masquerade in downtown Hollywood. Rehearsals have already gotten underway over at the Next Stage. 
I play the part of Thomas, the vampire prince. 
The performances I'll be in are Friday nights at 9:30 on October 23rd, 30th, November 6th, and 13th; and November 20th at 8:00pm. Tickets are $20 if you say my name at the door.
